Education and Youth: Transitioning Back to Washington, DC

Are you transitioning back to the Washington, DC area this fall and planning to enroll your children in public or private school? If yes, visit the Education and Youth website to help you find the appropriate educational options for your children. On the website, you will find information on Washington area private and public schools as well as transition and reentry resources for you and your children.

Getting in touch with your school of choice can help you organize your plan for returning home. If you’re not sure what school district you’ll be living in, contact the county’s registration office to get a head start on transitioning your child’s documents. Also, remember to check on deadlines for academic or magnet programs. Email questions to FLOAskEducation@state.gov
