Summer Issue of Youth Newsletter Now Available from FSYF


Here, There, & Everywhere, the quarterly newsletter by FS youth for FS youth is now available from the Foreign Service
Youth Foundation (FSYF). This summer’s issue features the FSYF contest and award winners, including photos from the
2013 Youth Awards Ceremony. College Bound seniors and gap-year students: FSYF will be announcing the 2014

Employment Opportunity in FLO


Family members returning to the Washington area may be interested in applying for an available full-time Family Liaison Specialist (Communications & Outreach) GS-12 position in the Family Liaison Office (FLO). The incumbent of this position is responsible for FLO outreach efforts. The position is located in Washington, DC, and may require some travel.

This is a two-year limited appointment, with potential to be extended up to a maximum of five years (Excepted Service, Schedule A—not in the Competitive Service). The selected candidate will receive a two-year, non-career term appointment with benefits (FERS, TSP, FEGLI, and FEHB). The incumbent of this position reports to the FLO Division Chief.
